Brittany and Kyle are such a fun, witty couple and it showed throughout their special day! The decor was clean-lined and classic and the reception was “over-the-top” fun! Everything from the dueling pianos for entertainment to Kyle’s peacock cupcake showed their guests how fun-loving they are.

To celebrate Shemaiah’s 6th birthday we created a royal celebration for her! The kids were invited to “train dragons and be brave and beautiful” at her castle. The afternoon included crafts, princess and knight movies, cupcakes and loads of fun!

Mama-to-Bee Baby Shower
My older sister, Anne, is expecting her first baby in October! She was able to make it back to Iowa this summer so I hosted a “Mama-to-Bee” baby shower for her. I love the color combination of gray and yellow! I’ve been working on my sister’s baby shower (pictures to come soon!) with that color scheme and was then asked to make another cake similar to hers.

Rainbow fun!
What did the rain in April bring this year? RAINBOW FUN! Elizabeth turned 7 and celebrated her birthday with good friends and a houseful of bright colors! From the rainbow banister to the food and dessert, we had bright colors everywhere! The kids had fun guessing the number of skittles in the box, making rainbow bracelets and eating rainbow sprinkled cupcakes and layered jello cups. Happy birthday sweet Elizabeth!
“Mad”style Cocktail Party
We went retro for this one! In celebration of John’s birthday we hosted a Mad Men inspired cocktail party. The men were dashingly dapper and the ladies oh so retro glamorous. Not a detail was overlooked from the 1960′s food to the mini cocktail shakers and candy cigarettes as party favors to the classic cocktails.
