Hello, I’m Gina!
I’m the owner and lead planner of Make it Happen Events. I’ve been planning weddings and events for over 10 years. I love the idea of bringing people together to celebrate life’s events and helping them create their special day.
I’ve always been in love with keeping others organized and I thrive on checklists! Before starting Make it Happen Events, I was an English teacher who enjoyed the energy of my classroom, encouraging creativity and keeping students on task. PLEASE let me proofread your invitations and menu cards. I love it! ;)
When I’m not planning events, you’ll find me spending time with my teenagers, Andrew & Elizabeth and my husband John. You can also find me cooking, creating charcuterie boards, traveling, reading, watching “Say Yes to the Dress” or simply enjoying a glass of wine with friends.
Over the years, wedding planning has taught me the importance of a well-organized event, detailed timeline, vendor relationships, and teamwork. At the end of the day, we want our clients and guests to feel relaxed and enjoy their event, knowing that all of the details are taken care of.
